If you are unfamiliar with him, welcome to Earth. In the past forty years, since he was young he has been performing and since the 1980s he has been a household name.
He started out performing with his brothers in the Jackson 5. He was a cute little boy but tortured by the pressures of his father and having to perform. He was a pretty average looking guy as he grew into his teenage years, but his twisted mind drove him to start performing plastic surgery on his face. And after his head burning incident during a Pepsi commercial shoot in the 1980s, he purportedly was forced to wear a wig for the rest of his life due to scalpal scarring and little remaining hair growth.
It seems he got addicted to it as his face changed more and more over the years. Even he himself became bothered by the results after all the damage he'd done, remarking to Rabbi Shmuly that his face looked like a lizard.
He became a white woman in the 1990s as he became more of a recluse and kook, pushing farther and farther away the MJ of the 1980s the world fell in love with.
After having supposedly been an opiate addict and, more specifically, dependent on prescription drugs, he died in June of 2009 at the age of 50. It's tough to determine how he continues to age today because photos are unavailable in his grave, so when voting on his battles, you'll have to mentally age him using the last photos that were available before his passing.
